Gus in Boots
In July of 2009 Bine made her first impulse buy, with the help of Aunt Katie. The minute she saw some pink boots at a children's store in Lawrence she went completely nuts. They didn't have her size but it didn't matter; enormous was just right for almost-two-year-old Bean. She would not leave the store without pink boots. Aunt Katie gave them to her as an early birthday present and she wore them religiously.
