Yesterday. Pappa went upstairs with the kids to read a book to them in bed, hoping Gussy would fall asleep for his afternoon nap. A bit later Bine came downstairs. Then Angus. I was trying to get lunch ready and was having a difficult time doing that while refereeing children.
Me: Where's Pappa?
Bine: Sleeping.
Me: WHAT?
Bine: Yeah. He was tired from his kids.
Today. Sitting on the floor with Angus in the morning doing a puzzle while JA took Bine to school. Pointing to a raccoon.
Angus: Raccoon!
Me: Yes. What does Pappa say?
Angus: Vaskebjørn
Me: Yes! What does Su say?
Angus: (pause)
Me: Mapache. I never remember that one, either.
Angus: Mapache. (Then, pointing at another picture) Dinosaur!
Me: Yes. What does Su say?
Angus (feigning a look of terror): AAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!
I was still laughing when she walked in the door.
