Bine has been doing a lot of "holding gently" lately. Today there was a hummingbird in the house. When it finally wore itself out against the highest windows it came down and landed on the ledge below. Before anyone noticed, Bine went over to the fragile little thing and clasped it delicately the way she had seen Mamma and Pappa do. I walked in just as she was taking it to the front door where she released it and watched it fly away. Wow.
